2001 Zeitgeist and full version Very interesting read about the highlights of Google uses for 2001.

Top declining search of 2001? Pokemon. (thank god) Top gaining one? Nostradamus. (I just don’t get people) Top woman? Britney. Top Man? Nostradamus. (see above)

What I find very very interesting is the stats of user systems. Graph of browsers shows a huge increase in IE 6, with an inverse relationship to IE 5.0. Weirdly, IE 5.5 stays somewhat level. What’s cool is IE dominates the graph, 75% and up. NS 6? Not on graph. (mmm.…) NS 4. Maybe 20%.

Now, I’m not exactly all for the IE browser. I personally use Opera at home. But I HATE browser differences. HATE them. If we only had a standard platform. Oh my god, what we could do online with that.
