The Effective Line Length for Online Reading

The Effects of Line Length on Children and Adults, by Michael Bernard, Marissa Fernandex and Spring Hull is a study on the best/most-effective width of text for reading online.

They’ve compilied a ton of statistics. Mixed results, ranging all over the place. But the final conclusions most favored short to medium line lengths. (about 60 CPL).
