I generally have a couple of go-to free photo sites . (interia, istockphoto, image-cafe.net (new), NOAA,Intuitivmedia.net, and image*after)
I just found out about image-cafe.net (new), NOAA. Nice collections of some nice photos. NOAA has some very nice historic drawings as well. LOTS of photos. And the price is right.
