I recently ran across this story outlining the outstanding, measurable success of good user interface design. It’s real world UI, not web-based.
It involves urinals, flys, and general aim. Of couse, the Dutch did this. The Dutch are just too cool for school.
Basically, it involves a fake fly being painted on the “sweet spot” of the urinal. This causes better aim to the spot, which results in a cleaner restroom. How simple and elegant is that?
