If LotR Had Been Written By Someone Else!?. Some excellent submissions. Had me rolling. (via Slashdot)

Also in that thread… Many years ago there was a summarise the LOTR in 25 words or less…I think the winner went something like:
Shortarse kills dark lord by chucking ring down volcano. Local vagrant elected king.
