Michael Larsen is the all-time king of Press Your Luck. In 1984, he made over $100,000 dollars at this game. He was an out-of-work ice-cream truck driver, and was watching the game. He recognized the pattern that the board went in. He applied to the show, and cleaned up. And I mean cleaned up. The article leaves me in awe.
I cannot believe that I found this. My father, Gerald Larson finally told me 4 years
after my uncle died about what he had done on the gameshow. It is odd to me, everyone remembers this gameshow when I talked about it today. I stumbled upon it today while at work, and I am happy that there is something that he can be remembered by. He died in 1999, and I never met him. He was the brilliant individual that figured the gameshow, and almost got disqualified. I am priviledged to be his niece. :) The last picture I saw of him was a sad one. My father had gone back to Ohio to visit. It is a picture of my uncle, his mother and three other brothers. He died of lung cancer from second-hand smoke. I wish I could have known who he was. Anyway, I like the review
