About Pascal's Triangle is a prime example of how math is just plain strange at times. The ancient Chinese originally developed this oddity, but Blaise Pascal was the first person to discover all of the patterns it contains. (although I think that the ancient Chinese probably had a pretty good idea about it when the originally contructed it.)
It's just lot of cool visual math tricks. Worth a read.
