Smooth Scrolling

Stuart has written a neat article over at SitePoint on how to make internal links scroll smoothly with JavaScript. The whole point of this exercise is to prevent users from becoming disoriented when they click on a link to the same document, and having them get confused about where they are. (did I leave the page? Where am I?) A very good step-by-step article on a solution that works.

We try to use the Stuart's script but, as he pointed out, it doesn't work under MAC OSX and Safari.

There is someone out there who solved the problem yet?
