9C9C9C

The color of the web is #9C9C9C based on a study done by Drunk Men Work Here.

The process they used was fine. They studies 3000 unique and valid URL's, and then averaged.

The statistic I find interesting is the errors thrown by this study. Out of the 3,000 harvested, 1,037 had JavaScript errors. That's one out of three pages with errors. Wow.

That's less than the number of pop-up windows, which rolled in at 315 pages. (10.5%). Cookies came in a little higher at 455 cookies.

Interesting study by somebody not named Nielson, Norman or Spool. I like the design aspect of this study, to find the average color. I would have liked to seen a little more on the errors, or the listing of sites they harvested.
