Mapping the Iowa Caucus

Scaling Counties in a Checkerboard State is a gorgeous example of good informational design. Jonathan Corum took the Iowa Caucus, and mapped out, in an incredibly easy and clear way, how the voting went down, county by county. What's really nice about this is the different levels of presentation. The color coding, the sizing, the subtle connections. Hell, he even used small multiples on the bottom of the page. The page itself is laid out well, and presents the information clearly. Overall, this is just wonderful. A very good example of well-done informational design. Nice work Jonathan.
