Stupid Whitespace in IE

I just hate Internet Explorer (IE). I forgot about this one issue I was running into, and banging my head against my desk. I had an image. I had a list under that image (nav list), and then another image under that. The nav list should have nested right up under this image. It did in Firefox. I forgot that IE needs to recognize that image to display as a display: block; , or otherwise it'll pick up on the line-height of the line of non-text that contains that image. There are just so many irratations to IE that it drives me bonkers. I would love nothing more than this browser to just DIE.

My IE debugging stage is called "apply stupid senseless crap until it's fixed". because usually, that is what it takes.

Today I IE was adding about 0.5em padding to the bottom of every li in a verticle nav list. The only way to fix it was to apply a bottom border or bottom padding(previously explicitly set to 0). Any amount works. It just has to be there. *sigh*
