Well, I've finally moved towards implementing a design. I'm not super excited by this design. It has potential, but I'm not sure how buried that potential is.
But given the fact that my creative mind feels like week-old jello, I figured it was better to upload this, and deal with it, than continue with nothing.
Nothing was what was here, and I was worried I'd get used to it. And then wait for that amazing breakthough.
Problem is my creative streak (re: jello). I think one of the issues is that at my new place I don't have a creative den/area/desk/studio set up. Makes it somewhat tough to sit down and just pound out the work.
Anyways, sorry for the rambling. I know that this design isn't super-great. I'd grade it a C- at this moment. I'd like to get it to a B before I decide on keeping it.

Hi Simian, i think that it's not too much bad (only i prefer an more high font-size to read well)
and your mail visible on site (because i can't send you this message in your e-mail :) )
Other question: why you don't write something about your web design of this page? (like a tutorial)
So people can know how you do is done better then old site Blog-Fu

Thanks. I appreciate the comments.
And once I get to some point where I'm pleased with the site, I'll probably write up a full-blown tutorial.
At this point, I'm basically too disgusted with the current turnout to write it up. It's just bothering me on too many small points.

Hey Tony. From a purely visual point of view, I'd suggest losing the innermost gray border, which makes things look a little too busy. I'd also tone down the entry titles, which are too 'grabby'. Maybe a more robust blue would highlight things better?
Cheers

Thanks Chris. I've gots LOTS of work to do. The typography needs some serious work, as do many of the other sections. I can't remember a time when I ran into more problems with a redesign than this one.

Hi, as I posted in the previous "new layout" entry, I'm confident you'll turn out with something great in the end.
Nice to have you back.
