The Poynter Institute has put out a study on how people view a news page by tracking their eye movements.
The resulting page is pretty much what you would expect, but presented in a great manner I think. This report tells me just about everything I need without any real text. Okay, I could use a little more information, but not much. Number of users tested, time period, etc. A paragraph or two.
My point is that this page, with it’s overlay and click points, is a dense informational space that conveys it’s meaning clearly. I like that. (link via Clagnut)
