This is somewhat creepy, yet pretty amazing and cool at the same time. It is just begging for the addition of a mad scientist and secret lab. And a direct lighting strike.
Basically, down at the hated and crappy University of Florida, they have a brain in a jar that can fly a plane. They’ve slapped down a bunch of living rat neurons into a petri dish, and added a bunch of electrodes. (link via BoingBoing)
