Adobe to Acquire Macromedia.

Wow. Adobe acquires Macromedia. This is HUGE. Wow.

I just hope that Fireworks and Dreamweaver don’t die on the vine.

Also, how much do you think Adobe is thrilled they get to kill Freehand? Kill it up close and personal. I mean, talk about your revenge… Years of competition between the two products. That is gone.

Hopefully they'll take the advantage of owning both code-bases, do some user research, and merge the comparable products ensuring that the best features from both suites make it to the final range.
