The death of Saul Bass's finest moment.

SBC is buying AT&T, renaming themselves AT&T, and then unveiling a new logo. The Design Observer has a must-read article on the history of the AT&T Logo, one of Saul Bass’s finer designs.

If you have any interest in design, go read this article. It’s a very nice look at the history of this company and the marketing and design of the logo.

I myself think it’s crap that they’re not keeping the Death Star Logo.
