Amyx, Inc. Logo Design
It was determined that the Amyx Logo and name needed to be updated and rebranded. The name was changing from “Amyx Defense Logistics” to ”Amyx Inc.“. The old logo had a pentagon on the left, with the words "Defense Logistics" under the Name. We decided to go for more of an evolutionary approach to the logo re-design, keeping the colors and the fonts.
I feel that this logo is a success. It's more of a classic approach to a modern logo, but holds up well. Being hyper-critical of my own work, I've found that over time, I've grown to really appreciate this logo.
This is the new logo. The shape of the yellow wedge under the text was created after studying the existing logo carefully. The negative space of the words "Amyx" seemed to keep forming something. After playing around in Illustrator, I discovered that this wedge was that shape, repeated 15 times times in the logo-type. After that, it was easy.

Here is the logo on a black background. The yellow is an optional choice, but preferred. Most of the time that our logo would be presented on a black background would be on a computer screen, so the yellow is an easy one. (not having to worry about multiple colors, printing, knockouts, etc.)
